Walking and Swaddling

I've been taking Luci out for long walks lately a few times a week since we got back here after Christmas. We were walking to Jason's work through the desert, Luci in the Moby Wrap and Moo on leash. Visit for a couple minutes, then we walked back home. Other times I just walked around the neighborhood, sometimes with Moo and sometimes without.

Today I put her in the stroller and we took the LONG way to Jason's work. Finally got there and hung out for a while taking a break. We left for home and had to take the extra long way home since I didn't want to push the stroller on the bumpy dirt road again. About half way there uphill, Luci started crying. I got to a bus stop and took her out and sat with her for a while, but she wanted her afternoon nap. I guess she is getting used to her afternoon nap at home, so I carried her and pushed the stroller the rest of the way home. That was pretty exhausting. We just got home a little while ago. We were outside for a good hour and a half. WOW.

Swaddling
I swaddled her in my favorite swaddling blanket and she is sleeping in her crib now. I only swaddle her for naps. At night she still goes to sleep on her own in her crib. It's quite nice. I love these aden + anais® 100% cotton muslin swaddling wraps, they are so soft and thin, but strong and perfect for swaddling, wrapping, using as a nursing cover and they are extra large so they work for tall babies and infants as well. I want to buy more of their stuff later on.

I think my weight is going down slightly from walking so much. I'm not trying to lose weight or eating to lose weight, but I still am aware of how much I weigh. I'm still about 10 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight. Mostly in my belly and around there.

Weight: 144lbs

2 moos:

  1. i was advised to get a stroller that can be pushed with one hand for moments like that!

and we have aden + anais stuff on our registry too. i thought the thin would be good for hawai'i weather.

  2. I like walking without the stroller more than with since she's not too heavy yet. Hopefully your stroller will be less bulky than ours. We got ours secondhand from my cousin so can't really complain about "free". I'm not sure a one-handed stroller would really be worth it, I guess if it doesn't cost too much more.

The aden + anais stuff will be perfect for hawaii weather. They are so soft and comfy, I wish I could make a comforter for myself from the same material. haha.
